i love how they made the light leave the characters eyes, as a symbolism for death, and hell was that a swift decapitation

Young Mel’s attire has a solari symbol of it and when jinx fired her rocket to the council, Mel illuminated as if she was protected by solari power.

"A wolf has no mercy" as she killed her swiftly without letting her even know what hit her. Knowing what we learn from her mother later, that was indeed her showing mercy

That child would be forgotten if there wasn't mel. I love the scene where she woke up and you can see the drawing behind her. You can see how much it traumatised her. And it's impressed me that she has it in her bedroom. Woke up under that picture and fell asleep under it. Maybe she uses it as a symbol of empathy for that girl or it has to remind her not to become as her mother.

The level of care in this show is stunning. Look at that little girl, no spoken lines, only on screen for a few seconds, but somebody went to the trouble of designing one of the prettiest characters you'll ever see on screen, and her facial expressions are as good as any of the main character's.
I love the way that whenever anyone dies in Arcane, those little bright eye highlights just fade away. Leaves just a soulless ball, no spirit or life left in them.

Despite Mel and the girl being obviously physically different, they share the very same eye color. The scene remarks their eye contact aswell in a certain way. Kind of easy to miss it.

It's just wonderful writing that we spend most of the series viewing Mel as this nefarious, shady person and then it's all turned on its head in one scene. She became a schemer and a politician because it was the alternative to becoming a conqueror and killer.

In under 2 and a half minutes, the show managed to build up one new character and her relationship with an existing character more complete and vivid than many shows could for a whole season 😂😂😂 This show is at another level man...

I genuinely cried when she killed that poor girl, just the looks in her eyes before she was decapitated got me crying

I cannot believe they used the body of the first death Mel saw as the vessel for the Black Rose in the finale. Holy s****

One scary detail I noticed was how precise Medarda was. She didn't even cut the girl's back hair. Only straight across her neck and her front hair.

Good lord, the way Mel and the girl looked at each other made the scene a bit harder to watch a second time. They have the same eyes too.

i feel like piltover and zaun was the perfect place to begin storytelling for all of runeterra as it is has its fantasy influences but at its core is about a conflict between its government and its people where as other regions like ionia, targon and shurima are deeply fantasy themed. having started with the city that is the most relatable to the real world is imo a really good way to get a lot of people interested in the series.

Wise words from the Chad Woman herself: "in order to last in this world you have to be both the fox and the Wolf"...

What I wished I noticed sooner. Mel, advocating for the princess to be exiled, happened to Mel herself. Mel's mother is essentially asking for the kind of fate that Mel would receive in a society like Noxus.

Look at 1:27 at Mel's body language and her mother's.You can see that Mel is clasping her hands at the front of her body, which is a sign of anxiety and uncertainty, while her mother's hands are behind her back, which basically means"I am confident, I am the boss here!'.And with only that scene, you can see how different they both are.And words weren't even necessary

Honestly, before ep 8/9, i was very sus of mel. I thought she was gonna betray Jayce and everybody lol. Its crazy how just a nine episode series made me love a character in the span of two episodes

Love how we can see how she’s an empath mage! She was already sensing others inner magic
