launchpad pro mk3 works also great with lk for ableton . it became my main instrument for mobile music.

Another great thing on the the Pro MK3 is that you can save DSP by just using the integrated sequencer. I’ve had some sessions where Atom was making it glitch out because I had too much stuff going on 😅 And lots of cool features in the sequencer too, mutation, probability, random step mode etc. I love that I can just copy a pattern and then half speed it by changing the pattern setting. Copy it again, shift everything up an octave without having to touch the screen. Copy it again, change probability and mutation on some steps. It’s so fast to make variations! Or make the sequence play backwards! I got the Launchpad Pro for Ableton and sequencing hardware gear and much later realised that it’s really awesome for the iPad too.

Are there any benefits over using the Launchpad Pro MK3 rather than using the keyboard version such as...Novation Launchkey 61 [MK3] MIDI Keyboard Controller?

For me if I’m buying a controller it means I don’t want to touch the screen…for that reason I got the Pro. Plus I love using it on my IPhone. The screen is 6.7 inches and the button the Launchpad Pro make it worthy.
