Improve your oil paintings with GLAZING

Learn about how to use glazing to improve your oil painting. The same applies for acrylic painting, though you would use gloss medium varnish or some other clear fast drying medium to mix your glazes with.

That was fantastic, thank you. So on a dry oil painting can I use linseed oil for a glaze or is walnut oil better. Are the Art Spectum mediums ok to use as well ?

Excellent tutorial, Richard! I've started an greisale (sp) painting awhile back with the intention to glaze over with color oils. Which medium do you prefer to use for glazing? I usually don't use additional mixing medium such as linseed oil in any of my paintings. Feels like it changes the tints of the colors. But, certainly understand its (or another medium) use in glazing. Thanks!
