Gods being designed as magical mech knights is very cool in concept. Stargate did the same thing. Robomythology is cool

Like I angrily told all my friends when we left the empty theater 2 days after this debuted, "this stupid movie was nothing more then 'LOOK WHAT WE CAN DO WITH GRAPHICS NOW!!!' "
Pretty sure most my friends regretted going with me, since while I was silent the ride home cuz I was fuming, the inaccuracies in this movie was something I raged about for quite some time after

My mom: Wow, this movie is great. Egyptian mythology is awesome.
Also my mom: The mythology in the Percy Jackson series is accurate.

The scene where Set gets all the god parts installed like he’s an action figure had me on the floor laughing

Usually, it can be forgiven for a mythology to undergo even somewhat drastic changes so long as you manage to pry a great story out if it. Marvel's version of Thor is proof of such. Sadly... this is not a good movie, so the glaring departures from the original myths are that much more glaring...
