Man with the suspension being the only performance upgrade, you could buy a lower model, take your $25k+ savings and spend $10-15k on premium pre runner suspension thatd be better then this.

This was a really fun truck to drive. Good power and adjustable suspension make this a great contender. Hope you enjoy the video, thanks for watching!

Every 4x4 is gangster until it tries those southern African trails especially in Namibia

$65K folks, for both the Pro and Trailhunter. Good luck with a $1200+ a month commitment. Toyota has lost touch with its buyers.

I truly appreciate all of the content and work that is being done on pushing these new 2024 models out. I have no ill feelings toward the folks making this content or toyota when I bring up the subject on pricing. I think it's super important for folks to have an honest conversation about the pricing for these models because we honestly have gotten nothing on reasoning behind the abnormally high prices that these higher models are going for. When making the comparison to the competitions newer models, the pricing for these toyotas makes no sense. Lets have that conversation and to @toyota, lets have an honest conversation. Toyota was the beacon of providing a strong, reliable and gorgeous mid size truck for the working man. I'm not so sure that is still happening here with these 2024 models. It's not fun when only the heavy pocketeers can afford these incredible machines.

Love some Cruiser Kurt action - mostly because we share the same name spelling and he got the social channel name "Cruiser Kurt" before I could...and deservedly so...

The very first TRD pro was released in 2015. I have one of two manuals in Orange (Inferno red) color. We believe there was only two manufactured in crew cab, 6 speed manual, Orange color (total truck built was ~1200 that year). I picked it up shy of $38K plus tax in all cash in Escondido, CA with 3 miles on it (flew down there and drove it back). To think in ~10 years, the prices are now nearly double is something. BTW, I drove that truck to the Prudhoe bay and back in Winter, 12K miles. The thread on that is at Tacoma World.

The way Toyotas going the 5th Gen Tacoma will cost a hundred thousand dollars.

Toyota missed the mark with this one. The Tacoma TRD Pro is $63, 900 while the Colorado ZR2 and Ranger Raptor undercut that price at $46, 800 and $55, 470 while both being even more capable and having more wheel travel than the TRD Pro. Why would I even consider the Tacoma? XOverland, if you have a suggestion as to why, I would in all seriousness be curious.

Wonder if this was filmed before or after Throttle House broke a Land Cruiser while unsupervised

Appreciate the info on this new Tacoma. so I've watched a few of these videos and Toyota always has a Rep in vehicle, I guess to make sure vehicle is taking advantage of tools available to driver . I really like the TRD PRO and I Really HATE that it costs 65K plus all the Fee's looking at 72/73 when finished. So the Tacoma has gone from being an affordable mid size truck that a lot of people love to a mid size truck that few can afford! Nice Job Toyota!
