$63, 900 before markups.
Quick math:
$6, 400 down (10%)
+ tax and interest (7.64)
60 Months Payment: $1260
@12.5% of take home pay you should be earning $157, 500 annually to be looking at this car (assuming the appropriate taxes are coming out of your paycheck).
National average wage (US Census): $63795.
Percentage making $150k annually: approx. 8.3%
5 Year price increase Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro:
2019 MSRP: $42, 960
2024 MSRP: $63, 900
49% increase
Wage growth 2019-2024: 1.7% (Source: US Treasury)

These price increases far outpace inflation and wage growth.

Toyota is targeting 8% of total market. Or people who just want to act fiscally irresponsible😂.

After taxes, you’re looking at 67-70k. Insane for a midsize truck.

I can't wait for the Sienna Trailhunter review 🤣

$40k was my max for what I paid for a new truck. I wanted a midsize but settled on a Ram 1500. There has to be a huge market correction. A new truck is only new for a very short period of time, after that you’re stuck with a huge bill for 84 months.

I did the math, and the Trail Hunter, priced at $63, 000 USD, is equivalent to $86, 000 CAD. In Ontario, there's a 13% tax, so the total cost for the Trail Hunter is $97, 000 CAD.

Nissan Frontier looking real good these days. This price is wild. If purely offroading, maybe this makes sense. But it cant even fit 4 decent size humans comfortably.

That price is insane. Especially with the incoming dealer markups.

The shiny black plastics look funny, fender flares & bumper accents & hood scoop. I have a 22 TRD off-road w a plain hood, it has way better sight lines than a scooped hood. Great comparison Roman & Andre.

With these prices Nissan would be stupid to not jump all over that 35k-45k segment. As of now if i was in the market for this sized truck that pro4x would looking really good. Luckily I got my TRD off road in 2020 for 34k and does everything I expect From it.

It’s like Toyota is giving a big middle finger to all its loyal customers. The year over year price increases are just insane.

Car companies are smoking some good stuff when determining pricing these days.

The 4Runner is usually a few thousand more than the Taco which means the 4R TRD Pro will be pushing $70k which is the same price as the GX550 Overtrail, which is just a way better vehicle as far as i can tell.
