How To Steam Soup Dumplings with an Instant Pot

Don't have a steamer to steam frozen soup dumplings? Try using an instant pot!

*We are using a 6 quart pot to steam frozen soup dumplings. Measurements can vary based on your brand of instant pot.

Instant Pot Method:
✨With a 6 quart pot, add 2 cups of water to your instant pot.
✨Place the metal rack that came with your instant pot inside (if you do not have one, you can easily find a metal rack online!)
✨Place steamer liner on top of the metal rack and add frozen soup dumplings making sure they are one inch apart.
✨Steam on low pressure for three minutes. (cook time may vary depending on your brand of instant pot).
✨Dumplings should reach an internal temperature of at least 165°F.
✨Top with your favorite sauces and enjoy!~

I achieved better results in my Instant Pot Viva 6 quart with these modifications:
• 1 Cup of water
• Steam on low pressure for 7 mins.

FYI, I can easily fit 8 into the Instant Pot at a time.

3 minutes wasn’t enough for me. I did 7 minutes, quick release. I’m tempted to go for another minute next time.

I did quick release after 3 minutes. The dumplings only got to 100 degrees f.

I tried with ninja foodi and failed miserably. Definitely don’t try layering a silicone basket on top of other dumpling. Also I think water level is important, I used steam function and it was undercooked at 11min. Will try pressure cook with natural release next time! Thanks!!! P.S. I must learn how to cook properly since I bought 3 packs for $100 at Costco 😅

I cook some meat with just garlic, onion, salt and a bay leaf and it taste very metallic. I hate the flavor.
