thanks for uploading the video. It was quite helpful. I have tried your method with minor changes. Place the bare Atmega328 on Arduino board, connect all wires to Arduino ICSP, run AVRDUDESS, do not write any fuses lock bits, directly upload optiboot_atmega328p.hex to Atmega328. Then you can either run your micro by Arduino IDE or directly upload your hex file (using usbasp) and it will work fine. One more time, there is no need to change fuse lock bits as it may result failure.
