This Hard Drive is great. The enclosure build quality is great and you get very good speeds for a HDD. If you need super high speeds, obviously get an SSD. However, I purchased this drive for backups, photos, videos, and other large archival data purposes, so ~160 MB/s is plenty. The drive is whisper quiet compared to most other drives and you cannot hear it unless you are within a couple inches. While the price might not be the best, the performance and quality are excellent.

I also appreciate that the drive comes with both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables.

OMG!!! This video is literally made for me!!! Exact same HDD, exact same storage size on exact same OS!! THANK YOU!!!! I been stressing out for 2 days unable to figure it out. Bought 3 different drives for different things & had to format each ready for their use… then get to my boss armoured tank & it refused to so much as let me look at it!! Thank-you, Ty! I bought my own 4tb G-Drive a few month ago and only got around to using it today. Thought at first it was defective since it didn't show on my device list. I know the older spinning disk drives need to be started at least twice a year or so, or else they can get stubborn and permanently inert. Another nice drive is Samsung's T9 4tb SSD.
