I’m so glad I came across your channel. Your skin is out of this world and I’ve already learned a lot from you.

this is also how you get wrinkles if you have older skin. Or a different skin type. And also how you irritate your skin if you have thin or sensitive skin.

Someone told me long ago never to rub toward the inner corner of your eyes because the skin is so delicate, and over time it will cause stretching. They actually recommended never rubbing the eyes period. Idk what’s good anymore; I’ll just age in peace at this point lol.

A little information guys:

This massage technique that she's doing in the video is also called facial drainage / lymphatic drainage / lymphatic massage. Resume: it'll work if you try by yourself, but only professionals should do this, if you don't wanna flat skin. Yeah, this technique can make your skin got flat, wrinkles, stretching, irritated etc over the time.

Idk about this
I feel like all that tugging at such a thin layer of skin would cause weinkles and other issues over time

Careful with the eye area. It is thin and sensitive and with too much stress will cause wrinkles or even damage as you age. Always be super gentle when massaging the area even with thick skin.

I had a good friend that worked for Shiseido in the late 1990s and early 2000s; this is almost down to the T as far as their eye massage technique is concerned. The brand had a patent on hyaluronic acid until about 2007/2008; it's funny to see all these beauty trends that were all spelled-out in Shiseidp company literature almost 30 years ago. I'm not super into skincare routines, but eveverything I know about skincare is literally because of that brand and the booklets my friend would give me. So far, I think their advice has paid off lol

I just want to say to all the ppl who don’t know much about skincare these skincare girlies either don’t know or don’t care about problems that can occur with some of these products/trends as there’s never any warning or anything. Please research before you do/use and test the product. Anything that promotes putting stuff all over your eyes makes me cringe, the skin there is very thin and can be damaged so easily. Milia is very common and is permanent without plastic surgery, it’s caused by shit like this so be very careful with what you see online because these people don’t know your skin and they never put warnings or any sort of disclaimer. Stay safe, research and don’t fuck up your face for a beauty trend👍

It's been 40 years and I do not have a single wrinkle around my eyes thanks to the beauty tips from my Mom, who told me to put as little stress on my eyelids and under my eyes as possible, and to use my ring finger when applying a moisturizer or a cleaner since the ring finger has the least muscles in it and a very soft touch. I very rarely stress my eyes with all that extreme, repetitive pulling, stretching, and tugging shown here with liners, or mascaras, or shadows. I was told to use a very featherlike touch applying makeup, and when washing my face, to pat dry, not pull down on my face against gravity when drying. That gorgeous face and eyes won't last long at all if that stress is kept up on them another 40 years, since the eyelids have the least amount of oil glands in the face and age very quickly if a delicate touch is not used consistently. I am 59 now, and my mom is 79, and our eyes and faces are still very young looking, thanks to Mom's savvy advice to me when I was a teenager. If a face can take this kind of stress consistently and remain wrinkle free over time, I might be a believer. But, I don't think so.
