I had it a few years ago. I come here to just be here for people who just found out. I joined a facebook group as well. ❤YOUR FACE IS YOUR IDENTITY, NOW YOU FEEL EXPOSED, You can’t smile nor hide your feelings. I know I know how it feels. Praying for you, be patient, seek medical help for massages (you don’t want your muscles to get weak and pull the part of the face that can’t be control) But overall: HAVE PEACE ❤You can recover. Praying for you.

Hey there, I'm Yeron, 19 years old. About 2 weeks ago, I started experiencing symptoms of Bell's Palsy and decided to visit a renowned neurologist in my city. The first sign was my left eye not blinking and my eyebrow not moving. After the diagnosis, I felt discouraged when I saw how Bell's Palsy can affect one's appearance. However, I came across a comment from someone who said they healed after 3 weeks by doing regular exercises and taking medication as prescribed.

I followed their advice diligently and within 2 weeks, I've seen a 90% improvement. It's crucial to take your medication on time as advised by your pharmacist and dedicate at least 4 hours a day to exercises. Focus on the quality of your exercises rather than the quantity, and pay extra attention to the weakest muscles. In my case, it was my lip and eye muscles that needed more work, but with consistent effort and medication, my face has significantly recovered.

Remember to stay positive and embrace change. I hope for a full recovery for anyone going through this. Stay strong!

Ive got bells palsy, and luckily we got steroids to treat it within 24h of it occurring. I had to do weird exercises where i continually smile, frown, blink, etc multiple times a day. I had to wear an eye patch at night while i slept to avoid damaging my eye since it wouldnt close, and it lasted more noticeably for about a month.

I was very lucky and got treated for it quickly, after noticing that my right eye stopped blinking when my left did. The next day, i lost the ability to move the right side of my mouth at all. I remember it being painless, however, when i would sleep on my right side i had to rest my face gently because i had a strange pain in my jaw near my ear when i leaned too hard onto the right side of my face. It took at least a few months for that pain to go away fully.

Ive been told theres no real idea of why it occurs, but that it can have something to do with things like lupus or other similar diseases and that even after going away, its been known to reoccur. I myself dont have an immune disease like lupus, but my mom does

A few years ago, I got Bells Palsy on the right side of my face, which time lasted 2-3 weeks. Then around a year later, I got it again on my right side, and it went away after a week or so. Approximately, nine months ago a knot the size of a quarter appeared on the right side of my face under my cheekbone a half of an inch in front of my ear, which seemed to appear overnight. My doctor thought it was cysts, lipoma and then or swollen lymph node. I had three ultrasounds, at which time, it was decided it is a dark mass. I saw an ENT, and now, I’m scheduled to have a sample aspirated for biopsy, and then a parotidectomy. This is terrifying to me. The knot is not noticeable by looking, you can only feel it. I would just leave it to avoid surgery, but even if it’s benign now, it can become malignant over time. After watching this video, and reading some comments, I’m wondering if the Bells Palsy could be connected to the knot in some way. If anyone has thoughts or comments about this and/or a parotidectomy, I’d greatly appreciate you sharing.

I got this nearly four years ago. Not good. Everything is nearly back to normal but my eyelid is a bit week and I still have trouble with dribble from the mouth... Apart from that I recovered. It's not a nice thing to have happen.
