WAQF Amendment Bill: Women To Be Part Of WAQF Boards In Proposed Amendment Bill | India Today News

The proposed Amendment Bill by the central government to reform the Waqf boards recommends including women members as part of the board, government sources said on Sunday. According to the bill, two women will be appointed in all states as well as the central council.

At present, women are not members of the Waqf boards or councils, which manage and protect mosques and Islamic religious endowments, the sources said.

Waqf should clear their stand whether it's a Indian Body or any other private muslim entity. If it's a muslim entity then they have to submit an afidavit of the same to the Hnbl.Supreme court of India. They can't take a multiple stand that they belong to the nation or a community by the way there is a clause in the constitution that any community wch is more than 10% of it's popoulation is never a minority
