You don't want a map.
Because maps are static, still, fixed.

Life is a terrain
It's dynamic and constantly changing.
Maps don't represent the terrain.

What you need is a compass.
Your own compass based on your interests.
Your compass will evolve over time.
But the path it takes you will never disappoint.

I've been on this mindless path for 12 years. I don't recommend, it was hard to break from, but I'm managing it now. Follow your intuition, your emotions don't lie, they signal something that you have to actively try to figure out by reflecting on it. If you're on your right path, it will feel like it and you'll know it. Better yet, you'll feel it.

You're correct about the autopilot form of life of nowadays. But i would recommend the book The Scent of Time of Byung-Chul Han. He explain how todays society actually is lacking of MEANING, not necessarily purpose. We are not able anymore to see meaning in the processes of life. One can live without a purpose, just working and taking care of his beloved ones, but he has at least to percieve the meaning of his daily activities for himself and the ones om his responsability. Thats a meaning crisis, not a purpose. Han explain this way better in the book.

We all have the potential to become who we want to be. Recognize what your purpose is today and strive to be the best version of yourself.

I set this comment as a proof of creation for my own roadmap and taking actions on that. Cause one things that I see is we struggle to make the first move and keep up the pace

The key to this is stepping back and taking time to understand yourself through introspection

Ok, I'm exactly at this point, eg, that my journey so far has been the "map handed to me", which I very convincingly believed to be the way for me, who I am. Now, I'm questioning everything, and I struggle to figure out which of these is truly me, and which is "maps" given. A part of me then reasons I need to figure out who am _I_ (and not what was projected on me). Which then leads to: how do I figure out which parts of me is truly me, who am I?

Reject the mindless path. Yes! I spent years being mechanical. My life lit up when I took myself off autopilot!!!

Be careful what you advise. Not everybody is you. Some people need the routine, the pre-set map for their mental health. If you put some people on the deconstructionist path, they go crazy, literally, and they can find themselves jobless and homeless, with all the social and health repercussions that brings. And if you set everyone on the deconstructionist path, then society crumbles. Otherwise, who attends your stores and offers you services? We need diversity in society. And not everyone is necessarily unhappy with that. Some people's purpose IS to serve as a cog in society because they love to, they understand it. Others simply need to understand that bigger picture to understand that even the most menial job has a purpose, and that can then make them happy in what they are doing. When you say something as generic as "reject the mindless path, " that can be interpreted any number of ways, why not instead talk about "accepting the mindful path"? Accept that for as routinary as your role may be in society, it is part of a greater whole. That doesmt prevent people from growing, but it also does not encourage them to let loose a wrecking ball in their minds, or worse, in their lives, into straight negativity that ends up in an abyss. Be careful that you're not on a Pygmalion project.
