I think the reason people love them so much is because the show represents a real relationship where it’s not all smooth sailings and it shows that it doesn’t take 1 second to be in a relationship instead it takes time and a lot of work

Why Jim and Pam's relationship is so great:

Jim and Pam are, first and foremost, *friends.* Their romance is founded on that friendship. They have a deep respect for one another and challenge each other to be better people. ("You have to take a chance on something sometime, Pam."/"I think you should take the job.") They enjoy having fun together and just generally being around each other. Both of them need to grow to be together and keep growing to stay together.

In Pam and Roy's relationship, it's obvious that it's devolved into something mutually toxic. Pam doesn't challenge Roy to improve (as seen by Roy's wedding) and Roy straight up ignores Pam most of time. ("I went to the bathroom and they forgot about me.")

Jim needed to confess his unrequited love for Pam, which he has been holding internally for a number of years, to truly know if she reciprocated those feelings.

Jim and Pam only begin to repair their strained friendship when Pam starts being honest with not only others, but *herself* no matter how much the truth hurts.

When they get together, especially in season 9, they need to grow again. Pam needs to go a little out of her comfort zone and sacrifice so that Jim can get a job he enjoys. Jim needs to communicate and stop going behind Pam's back to do big life-changing decisions.

Jim and Pam are so great because they feel so *real.* There aren't any life-threatening stakes like you so often see in TV, but little, mundane, relatable stakes.

3:58 Micheal is a great person and a great boss, he tries to have a relationship with his employees and his employees hate it which make it seem like he is annoying but he is a great person and it shows , he was the only one who showed up to Pam’s art show and Micheal has love for all of them and help push them to faca their problems and when he left it hurt them all bc he was a great guy who cared about them, I am crying now, THANKS!

Im 16, i have Just finish the office and it’s great, i have never been really happy but that show gave me hope and true happiness. The last time I feel that way it wasn’t so powerful, I thought I didn’t deserve that. Like my friends didn’t really cared about me. Which by the way it’s true. But now I am happy and that is truly thank to The Office. Thank you John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and Steve Carell. By the way I have surely done some errors I’m not a native English speaker
