“I sat 5 ft. away from Jim and it took me years to get to him.”

I always feel that as a risk-averse person

I'm still mad how almost no one went to her art show especially Jim! Only michael supported her and even bought one of her paintings

Often people hate on Pam for her borderline flirtatious friendship with Jim, while being engaged to Roy, but then they totally forgive Angela for sleeping with Dwight while being engaged to Andy, I don't understand this

I get high on the scenes of Pam's bursts of bold assertiveness. The show is set to a dull monotonous workplace backdrop and every time Pam speaks up positive change happens and it's so heartening to see.

When Jim and Pam had marital problems it actually hurt. What great actors that they would have me concerned for them as a family.

one of the Pam scenes that touches me the most is when she's still engaged to Roy. earlier in the episode, she talked about how she wanted a house with a terrace when she grew up. during the episode she decides to pursue an artistic opportunity, and we see her arguing about it with Roy. and then she gives an interview portion where she's talking about how its unrealistic to want a house with a terrace, how they don't even have that kind of house in Pennsylvania, and she starts crying. even though shes talking about how she wont live in a house like that, its clear that she's thinking about how she wont become an artist, its unrealistic for her to pursue her dreams, because this is what Roy has made her believe. idk man but that scene always makes me tear up. shes so good and sweet and it sucks that she didn't have a boyfriend who supported her aspirations. go live in that house with a terrace, pam!

A lot of fans began to hate Pam when she became more assertive. It spoke volumes of how people (not just men) see women. I’m so happy they grew her character that way.

One of the best Office examinations I've ever seen. I would say Pam slowly stole the show from Jim as the years went on. They really dug into her character, while I feel Jim's internal journey was largely invisible to us. I'd love to see one about Micheal and Jan's horrifying relationship, or Dwight and Angela's unusual path to love. Bravo, guys.

The thing I really liked about Pam was that even though she was a normie, she didn't freak out around the office weirdos, or be overly judgmental about anyone's choices or behavior unless they directly affected someone else. She even appreciated Michael's good heart and uniqueness, which not many of his employees did. She was sort of the neutral moral compass. And I think that makes her stand out :-)

She is so relatable. I also love how motherhood was a real game changer for her, a stress, and always present. The kids were not just a ploy like they were so classically in shows like Friends.

Anyone saying that Pam became too “bitchy” or “selfish” in the later seasons is extremely hypocritical. Michael and Dwight treated their coworkers badly and put them in danger multiple times yet are regarded as the best and funniest characters on the show. Jim was also selfish at various points and didn’t consult Pam on important decisions, expecting her to just be ok with them. Pam was the rock of the show and it wouldn’t have survived with or past Michael without her. She brought the heart and human element that was needed to put the office above other comedies

I think this is why I identify with Pam so much because I’m exceptionally ordinary. I’m not stunningly pretty but I’m not ugly, I’m bookish but I’m not especially smart, I’m occasionally funny but not gut-bustingly hilarious, I’m just always average at everything I try to do. I’m never good but I’m never bad. But I have a few really amazing friends that make me feel like, even as ordinary as I am, I’m indispensable. And as someone as forgettable as me, in the right environment, you are the most special human being and you are going to make a difference in so many lives. And that feels good. Because when I reconnect with old faces, they seem to remember the footprint I left in their world. Even though I am exceptionally ordinary.

As much as I love women doing amazing things like becoming ceos and starting revolutions and what not. I beileve more women like pam needs to be shown more. Pam teaches women that it Ok to not have big aspirations but also to not let yourself settle for a life you won't be happy in.
