Internet Provider Latency test with NetCheck

This video uses an Open Source tool called NetCheck to show the harmful effect of Latency when anyone in the house downloads or uploads anything. This can be a game download, a Windows Update download, OneDrive Sync, BitTorrent, etc. Any upload or download will automatically go full throttle and cause a traffic jam on your Internet connection. These are occasional quarter-second or half-second disruptions in the network that causes your audio or video to cut out. This will cause problems for real-time applications like Zoom Conference, VoIP phone calls, or online First Person Shooter (FPS) games.

When there are latency problems, NetCheck will show rising dots in the main plot area and the bottom mini traffic map will turn yellow or red. A good network connection should show always green at the bottom.

NetCheck is an Open Source derivative of Gping. You can get the latest releases here.
