As a long time owner of a C40, id say ditch the water. The jar looked wet af after your dumped the beans. Also RDT is really not neccesary in manual grinders with no gearing as static only really becomes an issue in higher rpm grinder. With the C40, just give it a good tap on the table after your done, 0 retention. With that amount of water every time, youre goona risk your burrs.

If you really want static (for filter to sift out fines and chaff), get the plastic jars from them, They create a shittonne of static on purpose to sift out super fine dust.

What is the weight scale that you are using in this video?

I always get this cavernous bloom phase, the grounds just implode. I see the way it’s supposed to be done, where the grounds somehow retain the flatness of the surface and even rise as it blooms. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong but I suspect it may have to do with grind size, any ideas?

I see others have asked this question and haven’t gotten an answer yet— could you share the brand of your scale? It’s very nice.

Why are these grinders so expensive? Not meaning this is a rude way, definitely not scoffing at it bc i want one. Im just struggling to excuse the price point. Plus im curious, maybe im just ignorant to the technology behind them.
I see everyone loves them, and they always have rave reviews.
