Signs for a Good Education

(Sydney, October 18, 2013) -- Deaf children have a right to a quality education, like all other children, in a language and environment that maximizes their potential. In this video, in conjunction with a global conference in Sydney on equality for deaf people, Human Rights Watch shows some of the challenges faced by deaf children and young people, and the opportunities sign language education offers them.

I am grateful that after ASL 1 & 2 my school has deaf teachers for the more advanced linguistics of ASL. It really helps with understanding their personal experiences as a deaf individual and helps students find good resources to interact with the Deaf community!

Well done! The speakers are signing in American Sign Language. Why are they not signing in Kenyan Sign Language?

In srilanka there was a protest featuring kids demanding the right for underage marriage mentioning puberty as the requirement for marriage

Just like learning spanish or french in school, sign language should be available as well.
