You may not know this but Matt back in 2021 once had a poll for his atheist experience audience asking "Would you worship a god if it were real? Why or why not?"

85% of people voted "No" while only 15% were open and that was out of 20, 000 presumably atheists altogether, it actually strengthens this defence of divine hiddenness in my honest opinion.

Even if debate is good, surely it could be debate about God's exact nature, and literally any other topic, surely God doesn't value debate of his existence over saving someone from eternal torture?

And extra culpability? If you're going to hell anyway, who cares? I'd still rather be actually given the opportunity to reject God, rather than have God punish for something I didn't actually do.

And I think you're underestimating how willing so many non believers would be to accept Jesus if there was actually good evidence.

Overall, this is a very unsatisfying answer to anyone who isn't already a Christian
