Nicely done. I made one similar to this style about three months ago and wondered why I didn't make it before, much easier to thread with. I still haven't made my adapters yet for the larger dies but I will get them done this winter.

Great job. I have seen a similar idea with a spring added pushing the tool some into the work. Can't remember if it was being used for a center or threading?

Nice work.
I bought one and then made adapters for some odd sized dies. Make it so you can just let go when far enough and let the die spin free.
No risk of crashing @ end of travel.
