My admiration for OpenCore and its developers knows no bounds. If nations were run with half the dedication of open-source volunteers, the world would be a far more habitable place.

Late 2012 Mac mini 6, 1, OCLP 2.2 and Sequoia 15.2. Installed OCLP 2.3.2 and then Sequoia 15.4. I started the MacOS upgrade and then walked away. When I came back my system was at the login screen waiting for me. I applied the root patches and everything looks and responds fine. I got the splash about automatic updates and went in and turned them off.

ANOTHER great video! Thanks for the hand holding and MAD Props to the OCLP team!

All good here in Sequoia 15.4 on iMac 27-inch Late 2015 (iMac17, 1) with OCLP 2.3.1... just experiencing little "cosmetic" glitches in menu bar (sometimes it stays in shade of red partially or in full, usually after return from Launchpad or similar action, but next menu bar redraw (access) solves the problem). Thank you Mr. Macintosh for prompt updates on OCLP and macOS testings, great stuff!!! 👍

Thank you Mr Macintosh! I was doubting whether I should update OCLP as I’m pretty afraid of any OS breaking bug that might come with Sequioa 15.4 update, so thank you for explaining! ✨

Update: update went smoothly! Once the installation is finished, OpenCore pops up and asks for Root Patching confirmation. 5 minutes later, my MBP is up and running again :D Performance so far is good, tho I need more time to determine if the update slows down my machine or not.

Appreciate you MrMac, I installed 2.3.0 yesterday on my 2014 iMac. I have to say OCLP installs very easy but the Apple update is painfully slow but successful. Thanks for all the hard work from OCLP and you!

Hi Mr Macintosh - running 15.4 on iMac late 2013 always from an external SSD - it is way more faster. Yesterday after my first try the installation failed. The reason was, that I did not unplug my backup SSD. Always install with only one external SSD !!! Thank you for your support !

Updated my late 2013 27" iMac and late 2013 Mac Pro trash can with 2.3.1 OCLP. All went smooth. OCLP continues to improve! Great job!!!

Mr. Macintosh! Thank you for all you do. I always wait to see your videos before updating anything. I have OCLP on a number of MacBooks, both Metal and non-Metal. I updated to OCLP 2.3.1 last night on my daily-driver (2015 MBA 11" Sequoia 15.3.2, 2.2 GHz i7, 8GB memory, SSD from a 13" 2015 MBA), and I updated the EFI and root patches. I have not upgraded to Seqoia 15.4 to make sure all is well with OCLP. Today, I had many crashes multiple times; Pages, Numbers, Mail, Notes. Some of the apps worked, but gave me the crash alert when I quit them. The problem did not present itself right away, but after about 3 hours of regular work. I rebooted, but the problems did not go away. Then I reinstalled the root patches, but have not had much time since then to see if problems continue. On the upside, Pages and Numbers did not crash right away after reinstalling the root patches. I'm wondering if others are having similar issues.

OCLP 2.3.1 / Sequ 15.4 on Macbook Air 11 2013 i5 4GB RAM, and several MBP 15 2014 / 2015 i7. iMac 5k 2017 looking good, too. Thank you encouraging me to go straight forward :-) OCLP Team is really doing great. Thank you, Mr. Macintosh!!

Sequoia 15.4 installed and running smoothly using Settings update on late 2013 iMac running OCLP 2.3.2. There was little/no delay starting the update process once initiated from Settings though the overall time was lengthy and involved 2 restart warnings that weren't followed immediately by the machine restarting until the very end. The update process took 2 ½ hours from start to finish. Hope this is useful to others reading the comments. Thanks for the consistently great support, Mr. Macintosh and OCLP developers team!

Thanks to the developers and to you Mr. McIntosh. My mid 2015 MacBook Pro and 2014 iMac are both working great with Sequoia 15.4.

I am amazed at this whole process. Able to keep my beloved 2012 going. Even purchased a pristine 2015 MBP 2015 from a friend who had it lying around. Runs great! I like Open Core's basic mission: keep Mac's out of landfills. I'm not computer literate at all, so this helped me immensely. Thank you!

The Apple Automatic Update screen came up after installing the update on my 2012 2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5. Thank you Mr Mac for informing me that I could click on the blue writing on the bottom left of the screen and go through to cancel auto update and install future upgrades.

Thanks for all the amazing work everyone is doing. I have a late 2014 iMac Retina that was maxed at when I purchased it. I thought I did the updates correctly. Pat, after the operating system last night, the computer barely booted and I could barely log in. I didn't realize that the patches weren't applied. Applied and everything was fixed but remote desktop are actually the" Microsoft app" stopped working. It turned out it is the security and you must enable local networking under settings for that app.
