How CHOP Communicates with Referring Physicians - The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

For the surgical oncology team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, communication with referring oncologists and family physicians is a priority. The team at CHOP partners with the referring physician, and is in touch regularly to provide updates on a child's progress in treatment. Both before and after a child with cancer comes to CHOP for surgery, referring oncologists are encouraged to contact the surgical oncology team at any time for answers to questions that may arise during pre-operative care, and during the child's recovery from surgery.
