The great rift Valley is a very important factor about East Africa and should have featured in your narrative as it transcends ethiopia, Kenya, tannzania, Malawi Mozambique, Rwanda, Burundi Uganda. Another intersting piece is about the equator cutting through the region and having Mt kenya, the 2nd highest point on the continent right on its path. Then being the only place along the equator covered with snow all year round. Otherwise the video is good
representation of the unique characteristics of the region.

As a Somali, I urge you to not divide Somalia 🇸🇴 because of some selfishness individual warlords that say so. Plus, would you trust someone who says they want to “unite” with the African Union while they wouldn’t unite with their own kind? Of course not.

Some of my family are from that region and they don’t see themselves separate from my other side of family. Don’t play into western tactics of divide and conquer in Africa brother.

Keep up the great work as always.

East Africa during the 19th and early 20th century became a theatre of competition between the major imperialistic European nations of the time. During the period of the Scramble for Africa, almost every country comprising the nowadays East African region became part of a European colonial empire.

Facts 9 is 10 are false. 1. River doesn't originate from Uganda. Dig deeper you will find out that the most southern source of river nile is in Burundi. It's scientifically proven, and there is even a Pyramid that marks the true origin. 2. Tanganyika doesn't belong to one country TANZANIA like you mentioned. It is shared between, BURUNDI, DRC, TANZANIA, and ZAMBIA.

The African script let me correct you. Somaliland is not a country just like Garisa is not a country. So Somalia is the country's name. Don't get into politics mate.
