Immigration documents from a foreign country is not proof of identity.

An American's military records and verified veteran's status, should meet ANY federal standards for proof of citizenship. However, many military veterans who served in the U.S. military for several years are being denied REAL IDs, because of arcane irregularities.

The clear nexus between a valid military ID (used in place of a passport for foreign travel) and a valid official veteran's benefit ID, should be honored by the government that certified it.

Congress/ DHS has and is dropping the ball on this growing problem.
