You have to applaud Larian writers for making Orin such a convincing doppelganger but also giving away that ONE detail that shows how flawed her imitation is.

favourite dynamic is orin not being able to keep quiet and giggling when durge responds with the most outlandish shit like a sibling trying to prank you but you can see right through it so you play along to make them laugh

Imagine, you've seen her pull this trick at least three times before, and the next time she tries it (disguised as one of your party members or as Yenna) you just respond with "Sister, I'm growing tired of these games. Are we going to settle this as father intended or are you going to slink back into whatever dark hole you call a home?"

23:59 - i had a glitch here. I attacked the child because i knew it was Orin, and Orin actualy died. Died for real. With a cutscene of Bhaal making me his chosen.

I love how easy it is to spot Orin when she impersonates your companions, especially if you've actually spent time with them or paid attention to how they act & behave. Orin can mimic personalities well-almost as well as a Shallar- but she overplays flaws, as if to mock both the target of her impersonation and you at the same time.

the dutch tilt and the sting before some of the transformations is so creepy, it genuinely startled me the first time i saw it

Strangely, when Halsin got taken in my playthrough; Yenna vanished from my camp. I honestly felt upset with Yenna disappearing and her cat perpetually telling me to talk to her.

It’s so messed up how she does this. She asks you so many questions to learn about you (Especially as the Dryad!) before she gets progressively creepier then reveals herself. Really creepy and had me paranoid.

My going assumption is that absolutely *NONE* of the creepy seizure stuff is actually required to shapeshift, but Orin just likes being weird.
