Vehicle manufactures need to find that sweet spot between screens (which I don’t mind at all) and actual, dedicated and tactile buttons for common vehicle functions. In my TT RS, I have a very dynamic display right in front of me, but I’m not supposed to touch it. However, every single control for the car is in the form of buttons. Granted, there are a lot of them, but they’re easily memorized over time and the entire point of it is to allow focus directly on the road. Which makes sense; it’s a sports car. You can control what you need without taking your eyes off the road at all and keep at least one hand on the wheel at all times (if not both hands, given the amount of intuitive controls on the wheel), which are by the way — *clicky buttons* and not those “force feedback” buttons you’ll accidentally press.
