Check out the follow-up video here:

Mike decides to test the limits of the very capable NuCamp Tag teardrop camper by taking it on an overnight camping trip in extremely cold temperatures. How did it go? Watch and find out!
Update: I've received quite a few comments regarding cooking inside the camper. While I did take precautions and the camper is always ventilated when I'm using gas appliances indoors, I do not condone this activity! Do it at your own risk!!

I lost my home a couple years ago and live in my 40 yr old RV made of wood and polyurethane skin with inch and a half thick walls. This winter not being too bad so I was able to keep us warm at 65-68° with my electric radiator heaters. (My furnace no longer works) Last winter got -10° and we struggled to keep it at 50-55° inside. I had to stay bundled and my dogs huddled up and I covered them with a quilt. Being disabled keeps me from being able to do repairs but God has been with US and kept us sheltered so I'm not complaining just sharing how camper life has it's challenges. But overall it's been pleasant and we are happy. 👍

Camped out in my suburban in -10°! Ran the engine till I was done with dinner then crawled into my sleeping bag. The bag is good for -20°! It got so hot in that bag I had to strip down to just boxers! Best gift I ever got! Plenty of room with the 3rd row removed and rear seats folded down! Love camping in the cold!❤

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy summer camping. But there is something magical and therapeutic about being out there in the late fall and winter (as long as you're prepared for it).

I built a 10x6 6.5 tall on a tent trailer frame and upgraded the axle. 2x3 walls and plywood with a galvanized metal roof. Metal insulated house door chopped down and one window over the sink. Diesel heater, exterior vented and interior fed garbage hatch. Murphy bed, 40” tv, generator, shore power hook up, manual foot pump sink from water jog to bucket. USB shower stall/ bathroom. I moved it onto a farm a few weeks ago and moved in full time. It’s doing me perfect and I don’t mind the minimal set up at all. It’s standing height and still has enough room for doing my work outs inside. I got shire power here and Ben a covered slip for winter. I’m so glad I decided to go this route, best decision ever.

I love it when people camp with their fur babies

Thanks for sharing this cold weather experience with us. It proves that a small teardrop camper Can be used even in the coldest conditions as long as you are well prepared! Having your pup along was the best !

I love winter camping. North Dakota in February is wonderful if you have the right gear. A good tent, a good insulating mattress, and most importantly, an arctic quality sleeping bag. Glad you enjoyed your overnight, get out there with about 3 feet of snow. That's when it's fun!

Great video! My wife and I camp in our runaway camper throughout hunting season and condensation is always a problem. I recommend removing everything when you return home and letting things dry out. Our mattress developed some mold spots on the edges from getting wet so many time from condensation and not being removed. Live and learn. Just a recommendation. Keep the videos coming 👍

My favorite time of year to camp is winter! Easy to stay warm when you get used to it and prep well.

I have a Black Max Lil Guy and yes, during cold winter camps there is a lot of condensation. Run to your nearest Wally World and purchase a box or two of desiccant hanging bags. My ratio is like one bag per night and condensation is near nullified. Just a possible help in staying dry in cold camping, staying warm is another thing 😁🖖🏼

I really enjoyed watching you brave it out in the extreme cold at that campsite. Love the Boon Dock teardrop and its amenities: heat in the winter and AC in the summer. Look really comfortable. Juniper is the best friend a man can have and she was so playful, well-behave and loving. Thanks for putting out this video.

I enjoyed this video, being middle age myself, I can relate to the slight limitations of not being able to jump off the tailgate with ease for example as we used to in our younger years. I also liked the fact that that you have become more practical and safety conscious in the way which you conducted your extreme cold weather "experiment" in your teardrop camper. I have also left the "watch this" mindset of my youth behind. Thank you for posting this video, it was enjoyable to watch.

I love this video!
Because we live in South Texas, we don’t cold weather camp very often. It’s nice to know of heating elements that could help keep our trailer warm in those rare events.

I’ve did this before way back in my early 20s . It’s not so bad if you have a propane heater . I did it in a ice & snow storm & thank GOD I had enough food & such because it was for 5 days & I 75 was shut down from north to south here in the mid west, I had electric for 5 days because I was hooked up to a electrical box in a park area but didn’t have electric heating, had 2 wool blankets & 2 big comforters with me at the time, I was trying to head home from around the Cleveland area back home to Cincinnati & as the day went on I 75 got real bad, i only made it not even mid way to Columbus in a 6 hour timeline when they started shutting down 75 so I pulled of the highway & tried to find a campground, I ended up finding a mom & pop R.V. campground & they let me stay their for the next 5 days for cheap, very cool people & I stayed very warm & very fed for the next 5 days .

I wish a company would build a true all season camper, when I say all season I live on the east coast of Canada, nothing I know that is built today can handle the winters we have
