That is terrible - do not beat yourself up! I would speak to an attorney ASAP about suing DoorDash! Not only did they take that order from an unverified number (which I guess wouldn't be something criminal or civil), they failed her when she called up and said she felt unsafe and they instructed her to drop the order off anyway, and then she was attacked. They are liable in my opinion for at least compensation for damages in terms of her medical expenses/and or emotional distress. Granted I am not an attorney, but I would contact one!! They failed you big TIME!! Prayers xoxo

Thank god she is safe and that is crappy DD forced her to drop it off. I wonder if she can put in a law suit on DD for forcing her to deliver when she herself felt unsafe.

So sorry to hear about this. Taxi drivers have long held the position of one of the more dangerous jobs out there and it would not be surprising if food delivery is considered a hazardous job too. I read another article of a Doordash driver in Atlanta who was attacked during a food delivery. I wouldn't have surprised if Doordash wanted to penalize your for your "missed delivery."

I spent half my childhood in a gang ridden area and it's situations like this that convinced me to get my conceal carry license. I stay out of those areas at night. I know can be deactivated for carrying but I would rather keep my life than be hurt or killed over food. I hope that girl is ok now and I feel proud of her for taking self defense classes. 💪🦸‍♀️

I would have not gotten out of the car. I would have taken food back to restaurant, called a support supervisor if possible. Report the first support and be done with the order. Your safety is more important than money or a job any day. No ifs, ands, or buts!

OMG Glad to hear she made it out alive. I've been robbed 3 times in the last 35 years delivering pizza. I openly carry a firearm now. (Except when I cannot carry.) CCW for life!

With all the sex trafficking and human trafficking going on we all need to be more on guard and safe out there. People are trying to pick up women and kids in grocery store parking lots. Please don’t deliver at night or in bad areas.
