I always had dreams of growing up to be a werewolf-vampire hybrid as a child.

If anybody is having any issues and turns into a werewolf after reverting from vampire form:
Reload your save when you enter the cave. Use the vampire form power early and let the man hit you a few times. Revert back to human form, then draw and sheathe your weapon until he stops attacking you. Proceed with the process as normal and you should revert to human form after.

Just a tip for anybody struggling to get the timing exactly right simultaneously transforming and drinking from the the bowl on this glitch. If you use the "Slow Time" shout first, then quickly transform and drink from the bowl, it makes the glitch far easier to pull off.

There were reports that this glitch can bug the Dawnguard questline when the character is not recognised as a vampire lord by his fellow vampires, or when the character is recognised as a vampire by his fellow Dawnguard members.
The solution for hybrids is simple:
When you side with the Volkihar, make sure your last transformation was into a vampire so that your character is marked as undead again. They now will speak to you.
When you side with the Dawnguard, make sure your last transformation was into a werewolf so that your character is marked as living again. They now will speak to you.

STILL WORKS as of 11/11/23!

just did it for the first time. It took a few tries, one of the comments mentioned using the (slow time) shout. That helped me, I also stood as far away from the bowl as I could to still interact with it.

Also again, another tip I found helped me. If your vampire follower keeps attacking the guards when you get out of the cave. Move her more twords the east, where the trainging Dummys are and she wont get the agro of the guards.

I did the glitch twice but I couldnt talk to her to change me back to a vampire. She was too busy fighting the guards lol.

Thank you bro, had trouble in the beginning but I found easier way around it, all I did was press and hold both the R1 and X button at the same time and it gave it to me on the first go

For anybody wondering, this does work on the PS5 Special Edition of the game.
Was just verry difficult to pull off. Transforming into a Lord or drinking from the fountain would happen practically instantly.

Just to let everyone know and save you time. Before you say it doesn’t work it does work even on new gens. You need to get a vampire perk just 1 perk then do this glitch and it will work then. I just saved you time from reading every comment to find why you couldn’t go to human form to straight werewolf.

I did it like this... I sided with the dawnguard, because I wasn't sure if I would get the option for serana to turn me into a vampire afterwards... Anyways got serana to turn me into a vampire before I entered the soul cairn. After I was done with that I went back to fort dawnguard to speak with isran, and he wouldn't talk to me because I was a vampire. So I did the quest to cure my vampirism, then he talked to me. Finished the dawnguard questline, then I did the companion questline. Brought serana with me, and I was able to pull it off. I did it on the nintendo switch btw. Also I would like to add that afterwards go grab the ring of hircine. Then you have unlimited vampire lord, and werewolf transformations.

It's worth noting that anyone who used the necromage perk with vampirism for stronger enchants/potions/etc. It still works, your most recent transformation needs to be vampire lord, it seems when the last thing you transformed into is a werewolf, you don't get the effects of necromage (or bloodworm helm (creation club) that has a similar effect)

Ok I have some questions:
One do you still have the perks/hinderances of a vampire? Sunlight sensitivity, fire weakness, ice resistance, vampire spells?
How will the vampires at the castle treat you?
Can you benefit from a rest?
You said you don't need to feed, can you still?
People won't attack you but does your form change?

This glitch has been around for a very long time, cant remember over the years not having both forms for my characters, I advise waiting to do this after completing the entire dawnguard dlc questline. Your werewolf side can halt some of your vampiric powers, mainly the vampiric seduction which you need in the dawnguard questline, and sometimes you will not be recognized as a vampire when you need to go to the soul cavern. Also if you do not drink blood after this glitch, you will have full immunity to the sun, BUT most of your vampiric powers will not be there

Tip: When at the blood alter you have to press the vampire lord button and activate the alter at the same time.

I didn't know you need to do these steps because from me i was a vampire lord already when i came to the cave even without Serana. I didn't even do the glitch yet i can transform to either one of them. but i lost the vampire's weaknesses and that basically removes my hunger and powers.

Ah good, you can still do the hybrid route. Back when Skyrim first came out, I managed to do this glitch, but then they patched it. Still have my 360 Skyrim save for my Khajit/Werewolf/Vampire hybrid. Now that I've switched to PC, I found my old way didn't work anymore (just contracting standard vampirism and then drinking Companion blood). Glad this is a solution.
