Always check your receipts. Many stores are guilty of this

Kroger just admitted to doing the same thing too

That has been on for YEARS in grocery stores, fact bot opinion. Understandable when prices tags were put on manually, but with computers, barcodes, scanners and RFID chips, there is no excuse anymore.

My local grocery store just tried to rip me off on several sale items. The sale was on its 3rd day. So much Corporate GREED! These people are despicable!

I'm already boycotting thanks to inflation and not having any disposable income.

In Oklahoma they had Glidden paint marked for $28 and it rang up $36. They said the higher sheen costs more.... but the big poster on the paint counter shows the lowest price and doesn't state different sheens costs more

Ever since the beginning of electronic pricing the predominance of errors have always been in their favor, errors not in their favor are corrected but if in their favor they are let go until customers found out. Interesting news about the weekend pricing, makes sense for them but as customers you've got to really pay attention at the checkout.

Interestingly, Home Depot's largest shareholders are BlackRock and Vanguard

Ninja, great point-out on the “weekend prices”.

This is annoying if not scheduled price gouging. But it is no different than hotel rates, as one example. Hotels raise their rates on the weekends, holidays, and when there are events (conventions, festivals, concerts, sporting events, etc.), the vast majority of the hotels have always done this.

Why is it annoying? It’s the same room, you don’t get more for paying more, you don’t get less for paying less. Just make it a flat rate, adjusted quarterly, let it ride and may the hotels that test their limits learn their lessons…like Home Depot.

Keep crushing it.

Peanuts for them. I have learned that you have to watch all retailers like a hawk!

Yes it is shame on everyone doing that !

The week before Memorial Day, fruit trees were 35.99 at my local Home Depot, not on sale. Went back on Memorial Day and trees were marked on sale for 36 dollars with a regular price of 59.99.

Wait until the 'digital pricing' goes into full swing. Walmart is just now starting to implement this tactic. So you pick your items and notice the price signage. You get to the register and you are charged a different price, "adjusted" digitally.
