I love how you outlined that kids should meet all sort of people not just kids their age.

As a homeschool work from home mom of an only child I understand the quiet alone moments and I appreciate them both. I used to feel guilty that I loved my quiet time but now I feel like it is necessary for my mental health. So thank you for sharing your story and I definitely love the tips

I schedule a 4 day weekend where my daughter is away with a family member or so we both can have time alone and away from each other. Has been very helpful

tailor to your child because you absolutely have the best advantage because it’s just us we don’t have to worry about others and how to fit it in. Also relate to buying all the things lol even if it’s not for your child’s interest GUILTY!

Oh my..I relate to everything you said 😑 We are now into our 4th year of homeschooling and my son is in grade 5. The last two years have been a dumpster fire because I tried to homeschool "my way" and "what I thought everyone else was doing". ugh. Learned my lesson. I went back to a curriculum that he enjoys and is short and sweet even though there's been so many videos about "how bad this is and we are no longer using it". Sometimes you have to go against the mainstream tide and use what works. I also overbought when he was younger and now realize i have closets of curriculum I will never use because he is not a classical learner :P. but i'm slowly adjusting and getting out of my head of what I "should" be doing based on popular opinion haha. We do have a really good balance of activities as well so I"m fortunate to be able to provide those opportunities for him. As of rme time..yaaaa I need to do better...always feel guilty like I should be doing something productive when I"m not schooling haha
