Any metal container with a lid I would recommend using aluminum tape where the lid meets the container.
A galvanized garbage can is a good choice for storing a lot of devices. Line it with cardboard so the items
inside are not in contact with the metal. That will give you the best protection possible along with the items
in metal pouches inside.

How will an EMP effect folks with pace makers? Another concern I have is Air Space being consumed with commercial jet flights during an EMP and Self Driving Trucks and Cars after an EMP creating motor vehicle accidents and wide spread property damage.

How do you use your electronic devices if they are in these bags? What if the EMP hits while you are using it?

What are you going to do with your laptop and phones when there is no service. You need to save generators, cars, old Radios, stuff like that.

Just remember if the power grid is EMPed it can take a year to 1950’s standers. EMP damages a part of electrons call rectifier ( diode or tube) in all electric devices. And remember cellphone will be useless the cellphone grid would be damage beyond repair. Older cars from the 60’s with out upgrades should be okay. Now car batteries 12v, Chevy one wire alternate and a riding lawnmower engine ( v belt drive) can be made into a generator with work. And a inverter 12v to 110 can get some household stuff up in running. But gasoline and diesel does go bad. But alcohol free gasoline and none biodiesel is best for long term storage. But alcohol can be made at home for fuel or cleaners for drinking I would not want to be drunk if bad people knock on my door. But remember cigarette and alcohol can be used to trade and alcohol can be stored long term ( not beer ). And remember if you get your own power up and running Don’t Light Up Your House. Because bad people will come for your stuff. Trust no one not even police officer. Now get a Ham radio and have your friends and family get two each . And set one up for storage and get a ham radio license a practice using it. Get paper books of how to repair and build stuff. Because computers may change to newer setups older devices can’t use and even a newer power grid may not support old grid stuff.
