A perfect example of our case study for "Worst she can say is no."

Dude had some confidence to so casually put himself out there like that.

Never heard of Severance so legitimately thought it was a severance hug-- like, you're fired but instead of money I can give you one of these bad boiisss XDXDXD

Watching severance and seeing Mark and Gemma interactions again makes it so heavy to watch. Poor guy.

That face at the end was a perfect “Understandable, have a nice day.”

She's a beautiful actress, I can't blame him

The last guy stole the show.

Period.

If anything, her voice is very soothing and calming. Just having her read a book to me or something while I work would be nice.

The last guy took it like a champ tho. He was like, oh well, shit, guess I'll get back to work.

Guy: "... can I get one of those?"
Casey: "No."
Guy: "Now I'm _actually_ sad."
Casey: "I can see that; still no."

I think that "no" is already comforting enough.

Never watched this show before and instantly fell obsessively in love with the actress as soon as I saw the thumbnail

i thought this was going to be about a guy getting laid off and receiving a hug as severance

Don’t you dare look at that man as a loser! I see guy who took a chance that no one else did. He may have not got that hug, but he will be remembered as the guy brave enough to ask for one.

I've been known to exhibit signs of sadness, myself.

Friend: “Worst she can say is no”
Dude: (after being rejected) “You know, society has severely downplayed the impact of a simple no.”

It's too bad that Severance is on Apple TV+ - not very many people get to watch this really good show. Amazing to think this is Dan Erickson's first real tv series he wrote for. I love watching Dichen Lachman - still remember her fight scene in The 100.

His first instinct is to gaze at her waist, he is a man of culture
