I liked how Milchick isnt aware of how kids usually arent obidient.

The first time I watched this episode, this scene had such a visceral impact on me that I barely slept when I went to bed. Trying to imagine how utterly jarring it would be to all of a sudden meet your child that you never knew you had, to embrace him for a moment and probably feel genuine, tangible love (we know strong emotions can penetrate the barrier between innie and outie), and then immediately have it ripped away against your will. And then to realize that your employer has the power to shut you on or off at any moment at their discretion, and also that you will never see your family that you now KNOW you have ever again.

So deeply disturbing.

I think season one made the right decision by barely showing the outies lives (The exception of course being Mark), it holds up the mystery of the innies not knowing about the outside world.
I think season two will show us more of Dylan, Helena and Irving as outies, but this is one of the best scenes in season one, Milchick is such a well written character

Imagine Dylan; he goes into a Lumon elevator, doors closes then wakes up in a closet with Milchik asking him about work, a kid comes up to hug says 'Daddy', Milchik pulls his son away, then you wake up to an elevator door. No wonder Dylan was pissed.

So Dylan's outie is just totally ok with that temporary dissociation and then suddenly affirmation things are done so he can get back to chilling with his son. What a crazy uncomfortable deal

This was the first flaw of Milchick since Dylan couldn’t forget his son he also joined in taking Lumon down

Dylan shares the worst faith among them all, because he supposed to never contact his alter, like all of them, but now the only thing he knows, is that he has a family and a son. Work Dylan wont stop thinking of them, they treated him in worst possible way

A few things that stuck with me after watching this scene multiple times..

1. Milchick was concerned/uncertain if Dylan had smuggled out the ideographic card, which contained words and images the code detectors SHOULD HAVE detect, outside the severance floor.

2. Milchick asks if Dylan was PAID to smuggle it out...how can that be if their innies and outies do not retain each others memories. If someone on the severed floor promised money for the card, what good would it be for Dylan's innie?

3. Dylan remains honest despite him taking the card from O&D secretly....

4. Milchick was very rough with the child and the child's reaction to him did not seem positive. Could be because he was getting scolded at the time.

5. Outie Dylan's smile towards his son gives me the idea he has a close relationship with his family, or children at least. Although, I am confused about his partner/wife. If they were there at the time, I imagine Milchick would have let them take care of the child while Innie Dylan woke up....

This scene came out of nowhere it was fucking incredible. And then the tension ever since this scene continues until the very last moment of the season. Fucking unbelievable show

i wonder who millchick is to dylan in the real world? like how cobel is ms. selvig to mark. the fact that dylan was cool with millchick once he became his outtie again makes me think dylan knows milchick as someone else

There’s a theory that Lumon is working on cloning tech, and Melichick is actually several clones. The person controlling the innie/outie control thing (forgot it’s actual name) seems to also be black (might be the lighting though).
