I LOVE this!!! An ex Mormon, I was thrilled when I listened to James on Sola Scriptura! Then he graciously came to Indiana to speak at our Defend the Faith conferences! God bless this gifted Brother in Christ!

The interesting thing is in Matthew 25: 34-40 where Jesus talks about the goats and the sheep - those he knew and didn't know : “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, *_you who are blessed by my Father, _* inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world."
The only ones who get into the Kingdom are those who have been blessed by God. Those are they whom the Father Gives to Jesus.

But this preservation sure does produce a deep inner peace.

Whereas for most people, limited (or particular) atonement is the biggest obstacle to Calvinism, for me, it was this doctrine of perseverance of the saints. I used to believe very strongly that we could lose our salvation, and I had a hard time overcoming that when I was in the process of converting to Calvinism.

God didn’t choose me . But, ,, I, ,,chose to receive Gods salvation out of MY freewill . And when I stand before the Almighty and he says well done thy good and faithful servant, I will tell him, yes I know.

Once you get that none of us deserve Heaven then you can accept what God Himself says, that He makes some for Jesus and some for destruction. We all deserve destruction but for God and His Amazing Grace.

Colossians 1:22 But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence 23 if indeed you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope of the gospel you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant
