I appreciate the pace you move through these books. Not too much information, just enough. Glad you're feeling better.

I got to read an ARC for Long Live Evil and I'd like to hype it up just a bit more--if you're looking for isekai for the girlies, something a bit meta, something deliberately trope-y and self-aware but also sincerely high fantasy, lots of humor and sarcasm and irreverence but also some action/fantasy violence, I'd suggest giving this a try. It's a bit long but has a full cast of interesting characters and the ending packs such a punch.

Consider my fancy tickled. I am very interested in The Silence Factory. The Full Moon Coffee Shop also sounds amazing. I am so here for older characters and cats. Mostly the cats though lol.

I read eARCs of The Phoenix Keeper and The Silence Factory. I loved The Phoenix Keeper! It was a little slow to start but it was my first cosy fantasy so I'm more used to fast-paced fantasy. Loved the characters, loved the interesting combination of magical creatures and the modern world. The Silence Factory was a fascinating read but not my usual genre (historical). I found the ideas and concepts unique and interesting but I wasn't fully sold on the execution.

I liked Bridget Collins' two previous novels so I'll definitely be checking out The Silence Factory.

I am excited for "The Blackheart Man" by Nalo Hopkinson, published on the 20th of August and "The Dollmakers"by Lynn Buchanan, inspired by Fullmetal Alchemist, published on the 13th of August.
Unfortunatelly they will only arrive in September here in UK.
