I always come back to Fedora, and I have tried them all - Arch Linux (and its derivatives), Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, PopOS, Mandriva, OpenSUSE. Fedora is the best one out there.

Yes the Installer stopped me from installing Fedora .... maybe it was just me trying to install it on a system with Windows 10 and KED Neon on the same hard-drive ... but i got Archlinux-gui-plasma to install

I remember how, back in the day when I used Ubuntu (pre-Unity), I would spend hours trying to customize everything. I would get lost in it. Now days, I just install my preferred distro and run with it. I'll change the background to something darker to lessen my migraine triggers. I'll install the apps that I want that particular computer to run. But, I don't have that overwhelming desire to customize my desktop. Not saying that there's anything wrong with it and I wholeheartedly support customization because it's there if I want to do it. I'm just in that phase where I'd rather install and get going. All of a sudden, I completely forgot how this relates to anything in the I hate getting old.

I LOVE Fedora. It is 95% as cutting edge as Arch, but without developers that get sadistic pleasure in putting out packages that they know will break lots of systems the way the Arch developers do. I'm going on 10 months now with Fedora and have not had a single problem that I had to manually fix. Fedora has the benefits (money and developers) of being connected with a large corporation, but without being corrupted/ bastardized by it. Fedora has the best implementation of Wayland that I've seen by far.

Fedora installer is pretty good. Try downloading the net installer and it has a lot of options you can install.

I'm all for security, as long as I hold the keys and only me. The problem with UEFI secure boot is that Microsoft holds the keys. Thus, it is secure for Microsoft, not the user. This is were UEFI secure boot gets the hate.

As for being able to add custom keys, good. But, still, Microsoft has their keys always included. Do not want that. And we are not even getting to security by obscurity implementation of UEFI firmware on most hardware.

Fedora feels like a rolling release sometimes its not breaking like arch fing up fedora is difficult.

Nope. Arch users can use the chaotic repos and/or arcolinux repos which have binaries and tools for lots of things.
Also Nix OS has some very clever stuff.

He ditched a rolling release distro (Debian) for stable release distro (Fedora) because he thought it was rolling release (oversimplified I know)
