M1 MacBook Air (Work From Home)

I've been using the base spec M1 MacBook Air for over a year now as my main machine to work from home.
I went for the base spec and its amazing how capable it is!
In fact, this whole video was made using it, including the 3D rendering that was done using Blender/Eevee and the 2D elements using After Effects.

Got a good deal on this machine about a month ago. Paid around $1100 for the 16gb rams, 1tb ssd model. I just had to get it cuz i knew it was a good deal and I’m still glad I did.

Would you still recommend the base 8 GB version for the future? I do web development and i work from home, since i have to keep my pc on for many hours during the day, i decided to go with a desktop pc to avoid ruining my laptop battery quickly and also for some occasional gaming.
Now I'm thinking of buying a MacBook air so that i can work sometimes from other places and not use it plugged in all the time since most laptops with Windows perform horribly without the charger plugged in plus, they don't last too long. the 16GB upgrade costs a lot but if it drastically changes the experience, i can think about it if i can avoid that cost, it would be awesome
