Been using it for 5 months. Great upgrade from window laptop. But the double touch feature just to scroll and no usb port really makes me missed my old laptop.. The batery life is amazing, the overall design is timeless, feel so sturdy but wobbly base. Im glad its still under warranty and they have replaced the base. Its a love-hate lappy and yet the best laptop experience ever.

I completely agree on the RAM issue - typing this from a 8/512 M1 Air - the RAM is permanently filled up to 83% and apps occasionally don't open up anymore, even if I free up memory by closing some. Beach ball of death, only resolvable by reboot - not even by logging off and on again.

I use the base model with 8GB RAM and I can do some pretty heavy Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop stuff simultaneously without running into issues. There’s still room for lots of Chrome tabs. So I wouldn’t say that 8GB aren’t enough but yes, it depends on your workload. To this day I never ran into RAM issues and I do a lot more than you mentioned in your video. Still liked your video, as always. Thumbs up :)

How do you clean your screen? What do especially not use so you don't ruin the anti reflective coating? I used a towel cloth and screwed it up a little, but fixed it after using microfiber and although it looks good, I'm not sure if the coating is safe, thanks.

Hey I'm also using a macbook Air M1 from 8 months and now I got a few scratches on the display in the imprints of the track pad and I'm a student so I always carry it in my backpack with few books does it happen to you and they are visible in few lighting conditions

I don't get it. The first reviews in general on youtube were pretty positive about this macbook saying it's the ''perfect'' laptop if you don't edit or work on like really demanding apps. Advertising this macbook as a portable laptop for students or office jobs, but on this video just opening 2 tabs on safari is a struggle ? So basically the 8gb version is totally worthless ?
