Insta360 X4 | 8K VR 360 video footage

In this test I show you a VR (virtual reality) 360 video, recorded with the brand new Insta360 X4. This VR 360 video is a test footage created with the X4. The Insta360 X3 records 360-videos in real 8k / 30fps.

Settings:
video mode: standard video
resolution/ framerate: 8K/ 30fps
sharpness: low
bitrate: high
codec: H.265

starting at about 00:45 with the view direction 'backwards" (i.e. looking where you came from); there is bee buzzing the lens (thinking "flower").

Two fun things to try for viewers:
1. Watch the bee via freeze frame (use 'space' to pause, then ">" to advance a single frame at a time..)
2. Gimbal Guru, make another video via Insta360 Studio 5.0 using reframe AND try "tracking" the bee to show us how good/bad "tracking" can be.

Disappointing how bad the footage is from this "game changing, world class 8K, super clear camera". Mimmicks exactly what footage I have shared. ProRes422HQ, Max render quality etc.. everything out of camera already looked bad, knew it was going to be bad once put on youtube. Thanks for sharing and that's a beautiful area.

Are you doing anything special to upload to youtube for 8k? i've uploaded a few tests and they are only displaying as 4k (not sure what i could be doing wrong)

I see your in camera settings listed, but did you make any adjustments while editing? (e.g. Insta360 Studio w Color Plus, or sharpening in another app)?

puh.... not shure what to say.... this is the all new x4? Sorry, but the image is blurry, no details... i'm shocked! (i've seen some other 8k 360° uploads that look the same - watching on a 4k monitor )
how is this even possible? the footage looks like 20 y/o DIVX highly upscaled... i'm a professional cutter/colorgrader - if my camera-operator would bring me footage like this i'd ask him to bring his camera in for service... :(

I'm glad i didn't buy an x4 and stick to my old x2 (that also sucks, but not that hard!)

Hmm interesting- when I tried uploading 360 video from my X3 to YouTube the video was not displayed like this- it was the whole 360 capture
