It was a doppelgänger because he was the only child and the person that he dropped off was the real person the real guy and so other guy was going to. What is a doppelganger?
Doppelgangers are people who look identical to a person or even identical to you. But they are dangerous as they might kill the person they look identical to or might even kill you. The guy realized he is a doppelganger cuz he said he had drop his bro but he is an only child.
Which means a doppelganger has disguised himself and come to his house
