The leads of Wicked, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, are having a bit of an emotional time on this press tour. Every interview during the promotion of this movie seems to end in tears from one of them, both, and sometimes even the interviewer. So what exactly is going on?

I have a theory that the producers instructed them to be fake, cringy, and over-emotional in interviews so that clips of it would errupt all over social media and become memes to boost the film... If that's the case, genius advertising.

I just had to laugh when Cynthia said she was communicating emotion with her eyes on the poster. Not that we don’t communicate emotion with our eyes but just because I got absolutely nothing from that poster.

This why I love Dick Van Dyke and other classic actors. Every time someone complimented him in an interview, he'd be very gracious and thankful, and then immediately talk about how important someone else was to the production, and did it so easily.
