In this video, we're going to talk about the ketogenic diet and the 5 things you must know about healthy ketosis. I believe excessive amounts of insulin are behind most chronic health problems, heart problems, strokes, diabetes, inflammatory conditions, cognitive deficiencies, and mood disorders. About 65% of the population is either diabetic or pre-diabetic. 

The 5 things you must know about ketosis:

1. Get healthy first—lower insulin and consume high-quality foods.

2. Add intermittent fasting to ketosis—intermittent fasting is another tool to lower insulin because frequent eating could trigger insulin. Intermittent fasting also increases growth hormone 4x higher than exercise. 

3. Don't worry about calories or macros.

4. Consume a higher amount of fat at the start of the program and less fat (down to 75g or less) as you adapt to fat burning. 

5. This is not a diet—this is a new way of eating and a lifestyle change.

I have lost 80 pounds in less than a year on this diet, and my friends and family can not understand why I won't go back to my former way of eating. They don't understand why I fast. I had all the issues associated with insulin resistance, was on 7 different Meds. already had two heart attacks, and was on the verge of being diabetic. I threw all my Meds. away . I am 70 years old, and feel better than I have for many many years. Thank you Dr. Berg. I am not going back. If you quit you die. Plain and simple.

So I was out with two guy friends and they ordered so much food for breakfast. Literally so much, that the big table was full of their meal. They were so curious that I didn't wanna eat and just had black coffee. Told them I wasn't hungry at all and my first meal would be at 3 pm and they were so surprised as if I've had some kind of magical super power. People are so used to eat every minute.

This is so true. I lost LOADS of weight on keto / fasting. But now I would never go back to how I ate before. Not just because I don't want to go back to being fat, but because I FEEL so much better now. And Happier. Thanks Dr Berg, I hope you realise how many lives you are changing for the better. Lost 60 pounds in 6 months, I also was suffering from high blood pressure sinse I was 28 years old today I am 110/75 without medication, just following Dr Berg advices, so thanks Dr Berg, I will never go back where I was, now I am 52, look younger and healthier than ever, thanks Jesus for putting Dr Berg in my life

I am in week six of Keto and am really feeling the effects of being fully adapted. HUNGER AND CRAVINGS GONE! Energy and mood on the upswing. My advice is to give your body a chance to adapt. The payoff is so worth it!

For years I've struggled with high blood pressure and all the drugs my Dr gave me had bad side affects but just one week 7 days on this Ketosis diet with intermittent fasting im down 10 lb i feel great and my blood pressure is normal wow thanks Dr Berg ..
