So,
You have been hearing so much about the 3D printer world and want to get into the action!

But you have no idea yet what makes a 3D printer good, and what doesn't.

Luckily for you I have everything covered, In this video you will know all the basics you need and will be able to quickly make a decision about which 3D printer is going to be best suited for you needs.
whether its SLA or FDM , after watching the video you will know which will be best for you.

To cut things short though,
Your 2 Main Printer Types are FDM and RESIN (SLA)

I will be talking more extensively about SLA printers in this video, however feel free to check the FDM video out if you liked those printers more.

In this video I cover SLA Printers.

Personally I would suggest you go for an FDM printer as a beginner, however you can still get away with using some Resin printers, especially the ones I chose in this video.
As they are better designed for beginners.

And once you pass the learning curve in resin printing, it actually becomes even easier than FDM printing. thats Awesome!

There are many important factors to think about when getting an SLA Printer.
Mainly you need to look at:

If the Printer allows for many Slicers, if It has a good customer service base, Printer speed, Size, And if there are enough users online who can help you out if you get stuck during your Journey.

You're getting excited, aren't you?
What's amazing about the 5 Options I have today, is that they have all of these features, and more.

To top it up, most of the 3D Printer options provided are cheap, making it a great way to test if you are in to 3D Printing or not.

You won't have to lose a few months salary just to find out.

I hope you enjoyed the video.

Good luck with your life and have a nice day!

NGL, this is the exact format everyone should use for these type of videos. I actually listened to the entire thing and didn't skip just to see the models.

Some additinal things that were not mentioned in the video or only touched upon slightly: There are water washable resins available for which you do not need IPA to clean them. They have some disavantages of course and are slightly more expensive (very slightly where I am from) but overall for the hobbyist I think they are a great option.

Regarding printing speed the example given is correct but this also means the resin printer takes the same time for a print regardles of how much you put on the build plate, only number of layers matter. Therefore if possible you should fill up your print plate as much as possible. If it takes you an hour to print one figure might as well print 5 figures in the same time.

The "micron" screen resolution was VERY helpful. Thank you.
I have always looked at "whatever K" skeptically for TV's. 13" vs 54" tv but both are 4k resolution. The 13" looks good close up while the 54" looks good from across the room.

this is the EXACT explanation video that I was looking for. thank you!

at my work they have Formlabs printers and I got to work with them a little. I have some years of experience with FDM printing on my Anycubic i3 Mega and Mega X. But I am now intrigued by the resin printing.
So I was looking for a video that recommended some budget printers but also showed the necessary precautions and all other stuff that comes with printing resin (like the curing and cleaning, that gets overlooked often)

I think SLA printers are simpler. I mean the ones that use LCDs or DLPs are basically just that plus a tank with a moving surface. I mean they might be more annoying to use because of the resin and such, but as an object I think FDM printers are probably more complicated.

Small correction: you listed the printer size as the build volume for the Mars 3 - the actual build volume is 14.343cm (L) x 8.96cm (W) x 17.5cm (H). Informative video otherwise!
