id love to see a video on your sanding and smoothing techniques for these smaller models. I hate seeing the spots from supports

He actually bought it with his own money? Now I can trust the review :)

You definitely want to spend the extra $30 or so to get the monoscreen Proxima model. But I agree, I can't believe how inexpensive these starter printers have gotten.

I bought this when you linked it in that community post about the $111. Thank you so much for giving me an option so affordable that I had no reason not to get my first resin printer. Only had an Ender 3 Pro till now. I can confirm that it prints great with Phrozen Water Washable Model Gray Resin! Worth every penny. Thanks again Uncle J!

Im new to 3D printing this year. I purchased the Anycubic zero with wash/cure station & 1L resin for £160. Absolute steal :) Cant wait to get the mono X soon (hopefully)

Voxelab apparently has the budget 3d printer market on lock

Right?!? It’s such an amazing machine! I might buy another one 😬🤣

Thanks for this! I just ordered the Mono for $160. I had been waffling around wanting a cheap 4k device but was worried about the flexing Z axis reports I saw for both Phrozen and Elegoo. At $160, I will be annoyed if Z flexing causes issues, but not nearly as as upset as I would be at $300.

I have started a print a few times without vat tight on Proxima :) Clunk-sound during lift indicates it, but because the srews keep the vat relatively down, plate and print separated from FEP + vat didn't tip over or spill.

I picked up the Proxima about a month ago. I absolutely love it!

Just some constructive feedback: - spending a couple hours calibrating the resin to the printer ahead of time, in the long run, will save you a lot of video time talking about support failures and overall lead to a cleaner presentation. That way you can spend more time showcasing the machine's potential which is what I would be interested in as a potential consumer.

Right now telling others that default settings in chitubox worked better than Lychee does not provide the correct kind of information, and in my opinion, is rather harmful to someone who's new to the hobby. Resin does need to be calibrated for optimal results, and skipping over that may make newer people think it's not necessary. Right now from my point of view as a viewer, I was told that the default settings in Chitubox are better than Lychee. This is not true depending on different kinds of resins and gives people the wrong impression on how to best use their machines - as now someone who's purchased this machine based on the video will just default to using chitubox default settings and not understand why.

Sorry for the long post, but considering the size of your viewership, I think these kinds of detail are very important.

Bought this last year for roughly $130 as well, works fine, definitely plan on upgrading eventually when I have the money, definitely a good intro printer!

Jumped on amazon to purchase this printer and it has gone up in price. The 10 USD difference between this one and the Proxima made it easy for me to purchase the monochrome screen. Should be getting it sometime in the next 5 days and printing a bunch of D&D minis. My only other 3d printer is an Ender 3.

A review of their mono screen versions and the large beds would be nice. Also maybe compare to their Foto line?

my first resin printer was a voxelab proxima, and i did what you do and wiped down the vat with a paper towel.
it literally scratched up my whole vat and moved the printer in storage since i had to move, just ordered a new printer and this time will only use a microfiber cloth to wipe down the vat :P

I want to get in to 3D printing, and this looks like a good place to start. It'll fit in my Christmas present budget XD

Excellent! This will be my first printer, I bought it when you posted the price, super excited to get it and start printing.

Maybe the plastic scraper that comes included is meant to help cleaning the excess of resin in that curved plate, judging by those curved edges
