As a “finally determined to seriously learn” new player - I have been watching all the YouTube Chess King and Queens for a couple months. It’s really amazing that so many great players share info and create content. I recognize that you’re teaching the same advanced methods (you clearly know the materiel) - however - you more than anyone so far - seem to have an elevated talent/intuition for staying on a principle message - without losing me on alternative analysis of “what ifs and why”. I am not sure what your professional status is - but you seem to be closer to learning the material therefore - you are able to share your breakthroughs. Though I appreciate the million follower Chess YouTubers - it’s harder to learn from them because - after two moves of a principle they can start showering down analysis threats and variations in a way that you can tell is easy for them. Since I am just a taker of free content - I am so humble and thankful for any content- but I thought to share this positive feedback regarding how effective your videos are for my level - thank you and keep at it. Aloha

My brother and I were in a rook king endgame earlier today and we settled on it being impossible 😂 glad to know I could’ve won!

Thank you so much for the one queen mate pattern. The knights move away makes it so easy!

Always something to learn. Im 2000 but I honestly never knew the real technique with k +q I always treat it like k+r lol. Good to know the actual technique of following the king

Love to see you keeping on putting stuff out! :D

You're teaching style is gentle and thorough.
I knew most of this information already, but you managed to sneak in details I didn't think about, especially in the rook and queen pattern. Now I get to save brain space by just keeping the rook closest to the king instead of having to monitor it.

WOW 🎉 learnt a new thing!!!, In king & queen vs king, when the lone king gets to a corner, 1. stop the queen knight moves, 2. position yr queen to cut off the enemy king and 3. bring your king to aid in the mating attack

Thanks for this...

Great video! The knight and bishop mate is pretty complex... I think it's the only piece checkmate that I don't know. A video on that will be cool.

Just stumbled over your channel and binge watched the first two videos. I love your teaching style and how you deliver the content I should know so that I understand it easily. Even the little things that are kind of obvious, but you have to think to get there. (like the opposition with the kings)

I think I will stick to this channel for the next couple years… or even more ☺️

Great video! Your examples, explanations, and the speed you present everything is great for a beginner like me.

I would be interested in a video where you go over a few books you think are beginner friendly. Covering basic openings and puzzles.

Hi Kamryn, I would love to see how you created a plan for yourself to get to 2000. That looked very beneficial for players like me who seem stuck :)

Ciao! I just discovered you channel yesterday and immediately subscribed. For a beginner like me, it's important to have a fresh perspective on the game, with theory explained in a simpler and clearer manner like yours. I often struggle to follow all the big youtubers of chess because I find their way of explaining concepts to be aimed at player who already have a pretty solid knowledge of the game and are around 1400 elo.
Having experienced what it means to get better steadily I think you have what It takes to help beginner to intermediate players. This video is the perfect example of how to handle theory properly. Thank you for your content. Some suggestions I'd love to see (I'm 1000) :
- king + pawn endgame
- bishop knight endgame
- what to do in middle games (analyzing common positions and patterns to attack - maybe attacking the castle with Q + B or Q + N?)
- what to focus on in each elo to make it to the next step and what to prioritize
- how to defend from common attacks
- how you deal with time management.

Love from Italy 🇮🇹
