Basic mating patterns just what i needed

Solution to the puzzle:
1. a7 check by knight,
2. Black knight takes then rook C1 check.
3. Black knight comes back on c6
4. Rook takes on c6
5. Black pawn takes rook
6. Bishop a6 is checkmate

Love the idea of seeing an application of every mate involving a sacrifice, considering pins and other tactics. A wonderful and sweet short review. Very useful for people who are scared to sacrifice and cannot see all tactics.

Puzzle answer ( I think)
Knight to a7
He needs to capture with his knight, then rook to C1
If Black queen covers then QxC7
If knight covers then rook captures knight so black takes rook with pawn then bishop to a6 checkmate
