Can I Smoke Just One Cigarette After Quitting?

Is it okay to have just one cigarette/pinch/puff/hit after you quit? What happens if you do? And what should you do if you’re watching this and already smoked or vaped?
I answer all these questions and more in this video.

“I can have just one” is one of the most common craving thoughts everyone experiences after quitting smoking.

Tune in to learn what happens when you have just one, why I always say that “the first no is the easiest,” and what to do about it.

This video is for you if:

- You’re having the nagging craving thought to “have just one” cigarette that doesn’t seem to go away.
- You already smoked one or vaped after quitting, and you don’t want to relapse fully.
- You’re taking a puff every now and then to take the edge off and wonder if that’s okay.

One puff or one cigarette is how we started smoking and hooked in the first place!

I've quit for a month and went over all the mental hurdles and depression and then felt like a new better person, but then all it took was one cigarette and I bought a pack that same day. You cannot have just one more cigarette, it doesnt work

Having just one more cigarette will make the ultimate goal of quitting that much harder. Saying no to just one cigarette will make you that much stronger!

This video helped me. I quit cold turkey 11 days ago after 15 cigarettes a day for 17.5 years. My wife will smoke maybe 1 or 2 cigarettes a month when we drink and never seems to have an issue, drives me crazy. I can’t do that.
Everything you said made me think about the last time I quit and I thought I could have 1, made me feel light headed, disappointed in my self and by the next day I bought a pack. Weak!
I watch this video, did a couple push ups and still smoke free.
My trigger was washing my car, it’s not always about crisis or stressing out. Grilling, cutting the grass, drinking... I hate not smoking, but I hate smoking even more!

I quit 21 days ago but on day 8, I had 2 cigarettes. I definitely don’t recommend it, BUT if you do, write those cigarettes off as stupidity on your part and get on with quitting. Don’t let that cigarette you have convince you that now your quit journey is over. It’s not over until you’ve succeeded and never want another cigarette for the rest of your life. Good luck everyone. It’s a journey and you get a huge reward at the end. You get to live.

Thank you Nasia, I have often wanted just one cigarette. Of course after that, you just want another one. I haven't smoked for 4 months now, and even though I have had a bit of stress, the voice in my head hasn't been demanding just one cigarette. My goal is to get through the year without smoking. Thank you, your channel changed my life

Thank you, I am (was) minutes away from lighting up and the echos of the post-guilt brought me here. Appreciate you! "One is too many", that's a bar of note! Thanks for the beautiful work, it really helps, this added resolve can come into great use when learning a language or skill, so again, thank you!
