Elvis seemed so humble and kind. Not a arrogant bone in his body. Decades ago my car repair man got a call from Elviss manager saying they needed a new transmission for Elvis motorhome as he traveled threw Kansas City. He laughed saying " Is this a joke or a prank call?!". Sure enough it pulled up and Elvis inside hungary!!;". He says " All of you and Elvis come to my house for lunch because my wife makes homecooked meals! And it will take pretty much all dayfor my men to repair it!!" The manager says " Elvis says it would be nice but dont tell neighbors or a mob will be formed!!" He called his wife cause she was a big Elvis fan but ahe got mad thinking it was a joke!!! In walks all of the guys and Elvis in our living room and the wife stood frozen in disbelief!!! They all sat around the table eating fried chicken; laughing and talking about cars; motorcycles. He said " Soon i forgot it was Elvis and just a pal talking shit and telling stories. Elvis thanked them for not asking for him to sing and enjoyed a rare homecoomed meal. He said " I wont forget your kindness folks. After Elvis died his driver rung their doorbell and handed them the keys to motorhome a block long sitting in their driveway!!! I saw a bunch of pics in the office of his business with he and Elvis with that motorhome. Its just a fun story of how sweet he was.too
