I was 10 when me & my family sat around the tv & watched this performance! What a night! My Dad was all about Elvis. He passed him down to us kids. Every Christmas the only album on the stereo console was Elvis’ Christmas album, which I gave to my kids and now grandkids. He was a beautiful man. I was doing chores on the farm, had the radio on when breaking news came across…Elvis was dead. I just stood there…frozen. Hopped in the pick up truck & drove like a maniac to get to Dad in the back pasture. I’m screaming at the top of my lungs, hanging out the window, honking the horn!! DAD DAD IS DEAD - ELVIS JUST DIED DAD!!! Dad was frozen! We all ran into the house to turn the tv on & hear it & see it all. Tears fell. It didn’t seem possible. What a day.

Dad moved to heaven in 2015 & the tears fall everytime I hear Elvis sing. Lisa Marie passing has been emotional. Bringing up all the memories with Dad. My hero. Dad had only one encounter with Elvis. On an L.A. freeway. I loved hearing him tell the story. Elvis was bigger than the world.
